How Customer Talks about the 24V Balancer
Hooked up to 2 Optima Red batteries for a large 24V Volvo C303. So far, so good. The tiny LED is helpful to see just how quick the batteries go out of sync. Can’t say how quickly it equalizes the battery bank, but it DOES work well. Does not get hot.
I have (12) 12V AGM batteries wired in series and parallel to produce a 24V battery bank. I segmented off (6) of the 12V batteries and connected as instructed in the small instruction sheet. When my bank measured 25.2V and I checked each of the (6) batteries, I would get individual battery voltages differences between each battery that would vary as much as .93V prior to the installation of this balancer.
BEFORE: I would see 13.02V on one battery and 12.09V on the other connected in series to = 25.11V. (+/- .93)
AFTER: I installed the balancer I now see 12.72V on one battery and 12.68V on the other connected in series to = 25.4V. (+/- .04)
Not sure if it’s possible to get the variance down to a perfect +/- 0, but it’s good enough for me right now and certainly better than not having one.
