Good quality, shows all you want to know on a single status display. Setup can be as easy as setting battery amp/h value, battery type then all voltages are preset (float, etc). Glad with it so far.

Took time to make it work but finally works great

Pluses: It’s good to know if the battery bank is gaining or losing amperage when connected to solar array and this device displays +/- net battery amperage (+ for net gain and – for net lose) so you can tell if the solar array is keeping up with your power demand. It can be setup for specific user parameters if you want to deviate from the standard parameters for your battery type.Minuses: Settings are retained once configured but their is no on board power so things like Date/Time are retained as the last known when power is removed. Temperature is in Celsius only, but the AN Tracer can be set to Fahrenheit to compensate. The included cable is only a few feet long, so you need to mount close to your EPever charge controller or buy longer cable, however, if mounting right next to Tracer the excess from the included cable can be coiled and stored inside the MT50 mount housing.Worth the money? Probably yes, because once your system is setup the only pertinent information needed is current condition of your battery bank and whether or not it is improving/declining. The MT50 main screen gives you this information at a glance while the Tracer itself continuously cycles thru different screens and is less informative. The MT50 also has an audible alarm if batteries become depleted below determined threshold (don’t know how loud). Definitely yes, if knowledgeable enough to set up user specified parameters for maintaining/protecting your specific battery bank.

Dont like dark screen then pushing button to turn light on but it advances to next screen also, which is not an important readout….screen lighting up button should be independant.

If you have the Epever solar MTTP controller, you definitely should get this monitor. It works well and also makes adjusting the settings easy. Just plug it in to the converter and it’s up and running.Without this monitor, you’re just assuming that your solar controller is working and don’t know how much power is actually being generated. I my case much less than I expected until I made some adjustments. Also, if you’re using the controller with a different type of battery than the 3 “standard” settings, then you’ll need to adjust the settings anyway via the “user” setting (such as for Lithium batteries).

Satisfait; Après 2 jours de test par mauvaise température, lr résultat est bon. À voir la performance en plein soleil. Les vis d’entrée des cables sur le MPPT sont très cheaps; Ne pas trop serrer. Réévaluation dans 3 mois.Satisfied; After 2 days of bad temperature testing, the result is good. To see the performance in full sun. The cable entry screws on the MPPT are very cheap; Do not over tighten. Reassessment in 3 months

Was easy to remotely locate and monitor my not so easy to see charge controller.
JimM –
Easy to operate, gives all the info you need and convenient. Wasn’t sure I really needed it . My controller isn’t in the most convenient place by the battery but it is doable. Now there’s no problem.

Its good device, but not sure if it is worth the high value! for the little info you get out of it!, search for better options before buying this!

I bought this to use with the Flexzion Solar Charger Controller 20A. A single 150 w panel is hooked up to the charge controller and two 70 AH batteries in parallel are connected as well. It’s difficult to see the charge controller’s screen and it’s often a matter of scrolling through or waiting for it to auto scroll through the various parameters. This meter shows the “summary” of the voltage and amperage output by the panel, what’s going into the battery, and also for the load – this is only if you use the charge controller’s ports for a light load. It shows different info from the charge controller though, for example, the charge controller (CC) shows total wattage produced for lifetime, and also load total wattage but this doesn’t. Also CC shows temperature but this doesn’t. However, it’s easier to change values with this than with either directly through the CC or via the Epever software. I bought the temperature probe and RS cable combo and tried using that but the software interface is clunky.
