EPever MPPT Controller XTRA Series Intro
EPever MPPT Controller XTRA Series are advanced maximum power point tracking (MPPT) solar charge controllers by EPever, specially designed for off-grid photovoltaic systems, it can be installed with optional display units (XDB1/ XDS1/ XDS2). the series has 10A 20A 30A 40A Mode for Choice and has 12V 24V Auto Switch, 48V 36V 24V 12V System Switch Version for different deployment.
In order to maximize the energy harvest from PV arrays and simultaneously minimize the power loss within the wide range of operating conditions, XTRA series apply an advanced smart algorithm which results in up to 30% higher efficient charging, compared to a conventional pulse width modulation (PWM) charge controller.
Xtra series controller has limit protection function on charging current & charging power, as well as auto derating power operation at high temperature, the protection ensures the stability of system even at exceeded rated PV power input and over temperature conditions
the Protection class is IP32 and the isolated RS485 communication port successfully improve the controller’s reliability under various application requirements.
EPever MPPT Controller XTRA incorporates a self-adaptive three-stage charging algorithm based on a digital control circuit, which effectively prolongs the lifespan of the battery and significantly improve the system performance. It also has extensive electronic protection for overcharge, over discharge, PV and battery reverse polarity and etc. to ensure the sustainability and durability of the off-grid solar system.

the Buttons also make it easy to navigate through the menu and manage basic configurations of the system.
Under the protective Shell, are the terminals parts. First two terminals are PV positive and negative terminals. Middle two is for the batteries. And the last two left for the DC load.
Soler systems will experience temperature variations during the year, the remote temperature sensor makes it easy to adapt the charging status according to the battery temperature.
the Voltage drop problem in long wiring distances is now solved by EPever due to using the remote battery voltage sensor, the Isolated RS 485 port enables the system to connect with multiple remote monitoring devices, Such as your smartphone, laptop, or MT50 device.
