A Grid Tie Wind Turbine Inverter is a type of device that interfaces wind-generated electricity with existing electrical power from a public grid. These systems generate DC electricity from wind turbines, which a utility-interactive inverter converts to usable AC power.

We call the system combined with a small grid tie inverter and a wind turbine the “SGWT.” The approach includes the wind turbine, the small grid-tie inverter, and the installation kit. Some “SGWTs” have the wind charge controller and the load dump resistor.
The grid-tie wind turbine inverters can be connected to any utility grid outlet in the house. The small grid tie inverter monitors the capacity, frequency, and phase of the home grid power, then generates pure sine wave AC power with the same frequency and phase as the grid and slightly higher capacity than the grid, and then controls the power output to the grid based on current-controlled PWM.
The small grid-tie inverter only outputs power when the home grid is on. When the wind turbine spins and the output voltage is within the rated input voltage range of the inverter, the wind turbine generates power, and the grid-connected inverter transfers the energy from the wind turbine to the home grid.
When the total power of the appliances used in the house is greater than the output power of the inverter, this power from the inverter will be consumed inside the house, which will slow down the power meter; otherwise, the difference between the output power of the inverter and the total power used by the appliances will flow out from the house to the external grid.
