I purchased the wifi unit and it works great. Would be nice if you were able to contact it to a network.

Using the android app on Samsung Galaxy s6 phone and Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 and they do not connect to the devise. The app runs but does not connect. No documentation and clicking on the help button take you to a graphic walk through that tells nothing about getting the WiFi to work. They don’t even tell you where to download the app. Had to google around to find it. I suspect the company isn’t taking this product too seriously. Somebody else post a review and prove me wrong.

I have a Epever Triron 3210N Solar charge controller. I have a Lithium battery bank and wanted to set up the charge controller to handle it. THERE IS NO LITHIUM BATTERY TYPE ON THE MENU.I downloaded the windows software that epever recommended along with this cable.I suspect the cable is fine, but the epever windows software is truly a POS. It is badly designed and based on obsolete win32 development platform. The user interface is horrible and full of bugs. It always crashes before I could communicate with the charge controller, and eventually I gave up.

Works well once one figures out how to connect to its private WiFi and get the current readings from the Solar Controller.I was able to make needed changes to the solar controller for my Lithium Ion batteries (Ecotrek Brand). Also allows me to monitor battery and Solar panel status from 20-30 feet away.

Had problem where I could make the wifi connection but for some reason , when trying to connect to the charge controller using the App, I kept getting error that wifi was not connected. Problem ended up being caused by a VPN app installed on the phone . I uninstalled it and problem fixed.

This unit works as advertised, but is somewhat limited in logging functions. The sampling rate is fixed at about 10 minutes and cannot be adjusted. This is a big shortcoming in my opinion since I am more interested in seeing transients that occur in a much shorter time frame than 10 minutes. I would have given this item 5 stars except for this limitation.

I downloaded the iPhone software that’s supposed to talk to thisdevice, and connected the eBox to my EPEVER solar charge controller. My controller is listed as compatible with the eBox.The iPhone app is flakey as all get out, alternately indicating it is connectedor not to the eBox, though the connect light is illuminated indicated I wasconnected to the eBox’s wifi signal.I even tried resetting the eBox via the reset hole, using a paper clip end, butno change in behavior. I should really return it, but will try some Internetsearches first.

Just got this in today. UPS got it to me a day early! It hooked right up and worked without issue. All functions seem to work at the same time. It is logging, monitoring, and driving the MT-50, all without issue. I will update this as time goes on.My current solar output is low. But its cloudy, and 8:30pm.

Works well, range is good, but manufacturer has limited it to AP mode only, so you cannot join it to your home network without a hack, and depending on the firmware version, if you attempt the hack to station mode you’ll brick it. EPever limited themselves here, they should have allowed this, they would sell more of them. Unbricking is not for the timid.

Works with my iPhone. Drops connectivity regularly, every 5 minutes or so. Then you have to try various tricks to reconnect. Usually I go back to the HELP (only in Chinese), and go to the last page and click the bottom. It’ll usually connect – until next time. I would like to trade for the Bluetooth version.

I got to the web portal of my Box-WIFI-01 and tried to connect it to my SSID network but it never pulls an IP address. I went to mode settings but it only lets me select AP mode and not STA mode. I’ve tried connecting to different wireless router I have and resetting the Box-WIFI-01, and re-entering all the settings, but it won’t connect.I have contacted support but they are completely unhelpful. They tell me it does not have STA mode (even though there is clearly shows STA settings) and say it can only connect through the app (even though I am connected through the web browser).I cannot figure why they would cripple this device. What is the point of a wifi adapter if it cannot connect to an existing wifi? Why would I need to have it have its own wifi that I manually have to connect to (causing loss of Internet connection) just to read info from it? Then have to manually switch wifi connection back to standard wifi so I can get wifi again, but loss connection to the ebox? Then I have to forget the wifi connection to the ebox, because it would occasionally connect to it, causing me to loose Internet. They seem to have put little to no thought into this device.

It works… getting files is a bit … manual. Make sure you click in the following order: Open, Query, Download, Close. The software leaves much to be desired – but as I said, it works. I can’t find the CR1220 battery locally, so I’ve got that ordered. Set your time immediately! And remember it’s a 24 hour time, so add 12 hours in the evening.Pros: You can still use compatible accessories in addition to this one at the same time. You’ll get lots of data regarding the current status. Manual is in English.Cons: Default logging interval is between 11 and 12 minutes. I am unable to find a way to change this. Seconds are always recorded as zero. Sometimes the header row appears twice at the top of the csv file. I found the device flashing red in the evening once – the last log was just before midnight. Resetting fixed the problem. I once had a problem where the day of the month did not roll over at midnight. It went from 2017/2/14 23:57:0 to 2017/2/14 0:8:0. I haven’t been able to connect to it with “Solar Station Monitor” software. You’ll need something to extract “rar” files to get some of the software. For programmers – dates are formatted without zero padding and has two spaces between date/time. “Array Current(A)” header has a trailing space. Dates do not have a header.Sample of what it gave me in the CSVRecord Num.,Array Current(A) ,Array Voltage(V),Array Power(W),Load Current(A),Load Voltage(V),Load Power(W),Battery Current(A),Battery Voltage(V),Battery Temp.(℃),Battery SOC(%),Battery Max.
